Mumbai: The Wealth Company Mutual Fund, part of the Pantomath Group, has announced that it has received approval from the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) to introduce its Specialized Investment Fund (SIF), a product engineered to deliver hedge-fund-like agility within a transparent and regulated mutual fund framework.

With this approval, the AMC joins a select set of fund houses permitted to operate strategies under the Specialized Investment Fund category in India. The fund will be launched under the WSIF brand.

The company has appointed Chinmay Sathe as Chief Investment Officer and Head – Specialized Investment Fund to lead WSIF’s investment strategy and product architecture.

Specialized Investment Fund philosophy focused on clarity and conviction

The WSIF platform is designed to combine clarity-led investment conviction with disciplined processes, continuous research, and market experience.

The Wealth Company Mutual Fund stated that the Specialized Investment Fund framework enables meaningful, research-backed risk-taking aimed at generating differentiated long-term returns across market cycles.

Founder, MD & CEO Madhu Lunawat said the approval for its Specialized Investment Fund marks a significant step in the evolution of India’s mutual fund industry.

She noted that WSIF will offer research-driven strategies designed to navigate market volatility through intelligent aggression, structured risk allocation, and the strategic use of hedging and directional tools. Multiple SIF products will be launched to cater to varying client risk profiles and asset allocation preferences.

Adding to this, CIO Chinmay Sathe said that the Specialized Investment Fund will focus on creating products aligned with investor risk appetites and long-term strategic allocations.

He highlighted that all WSIF offerings will be built on rigorous research and a philosophy of conviction and clarity, emphasising opportunities with favourable reward asymmetry.
